Runscope supports Single Sign-On via Google Apps using SAML. Google Apps SSO integration requires a subscription to a custom plan. Contact us to get started.
Enabling Google Apps SSO is a two-step process. The first part requires you to setup Runscope in your Google Apps admin. The second part involves getting SAML activated for your Runscope account.
- Step 1: Create Runscope App within Google Apps Admin
- Step 2: Enabling Single Sign-On for your Runscope Team
Create Runscope App within Google Apps Admin
To create the necessary settings, you must be a Google Apps administrator.
From the Google Apps console, select Apps > SAML Apps and create a new application. Choose "Setup my own custom app" at the bottom of the service provider list.
Download the IDP metadata file under "Option 2" and save it for later. You'll need to provide this to Runscope support to complete the setup after creating the application.
After downloading the file, select 'Next' and enter a name (e.g. Runscope) for your application. Runscope logos can be found here.
For Service Provider Details, enter the following information:
- ACS URL:
- Entity ID:
- Name ID:
Basic Information > Primary Email
- Name ID Format:
For Attribute Mapping, add the following attributes:
first_name: Basic Information > First Name
last_name: Basic Information > Last Name
After the app is created, by default it is disabled. From the app config, select "ON for everyone" to enable.
Step 2: Enabling Single Sign-On for your Runscope Team
Once your app is enabled and you have downloaded the IDP metadata file, email the file to our support team to complete the integration.
