Creating a Performance Test

Congratulations! You've set up an account and you're ready to create your first test with BlazeMeter.

Here's how you do it:

There are two main ways to create a load test: Adding a 'URL List' or Adding a 'JMeter Script'.

1. Adding a URL/API Test - Our no-scripting test. The easiest and quickest way to setup a test for basic scenarios, i.e load testing a few URLs with delays between the request. If you want to, you can add headers and request bodies to this test, so it's great for quickly driving traffic to a form or API endpoint if needed.

Adding A JMeter Test - Use an existing script written for JMeter, the most popular open-source performance testing tool. BlazeMeter let's you easily override threads, ramp and duration without editing the JMeter JMX file, and then adds helpful features you won't find in JMeter alone, like network emulation and pass/fail thresholds.
