Invite and Create Users in BlazeMeter University

In the BlazeMeter University, we have Groups that are useful for managing teams with multiple users, all looking to learn more and enable themselves on BlazeMeter and the Open Source frameworks it's utilizing.

Groups are enrollment drivers. By placing users into specific groups you are automatically enrolling them in any courses the group is enrolled in.

Every Group has manager/s, who are those who can manage user's invitations, creation, and enrollments. Also, a Manager can generate reports that help to keep track of the group's progress and achievements. There is no limitation on the number of managers allowed per group, and a manager can manage more than 1 group as well.

Invite via Link and Sign Up

This might seem obvious, but the simplest way to invite someone into the university would be to share the main university URL. You can go with the URL of our sign up/log in page - university.blazemeter.com, or share our web page that is more informative and welcoming - blazemeter.com/university

Invite via an Email

If you prefer to invite a new user by an email with an invite link, follow these steps:

  1. Once logged in to the BlazeMeter University as Manager, click the main drop-down menu in the top left corner of the screen, currently showing Dashboard.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Click Actions in the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Click Invite.
  5. Add the email address of the user (or multiple users using a comma as a delimiter), and assign the 'Type' accordingly.

An invite email has been sent to the Email address specified above. The user will now get an Email from 'BlazeMeter University' with a link to create his account. (The only personal details that are asked of any user in addition to the Email address are Username and Password)

Create A New User

  1. Once logged in to the BlazeMeter University as Manager, click the main drop-down menu in the top left corner of the screen, currently showing Dashboard.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Click Actions in the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Enter the new user's Name and Email address, and select his 'type' (See a description of the different types here).
  6. Select whether to send a user an invite, in which case, they will be automatically redirected to reset their password or create a password for them, so they will log in automatically.

Create New Users In Bulk

  1. Once logged in to the BlazeMeter University as Manager, click the main drop-down menu in the top left corner of the screen, currently showing Dashboard.

  2. Select Users.

  3. Click Actions in the top right corner of the screen.
  4. Click Batch Upload.

  5. Upload a CSV based on the example shown under 'Select your user data file'.

  6. Enable or disable the option seen on the screen to send an invite email to new users, or update existing ones.

  7. Choose whether this new batch of users will be automatically assigned to certain groups, and enrolled in specific courses.
