How to update destination folder in Ship Installation

Sometimes your instance may be limited on disk space for allocating to the /tmp which is required for the Ship installation.

When this happens, you may set a new destination folder to replace it, and execute the script from your instance. Simply follow these steps,

  1. Download the installation script from your Private location/Harbor, from link at bottom of page as 'Install Script
  2. When you click on it, download the file named "harbor_install.sh"
  3. Open the file in a text editor of your choice (TextMate, TextEditor, etc)
  4. At bottom of 'export' commands, enter the option:
    export TMP_FOLDER="/YOURNEWPATH/tmp"
    then, save your changes.

  5. Next, run the script from the terminal
    $ bash harbor_install.sh

Also, in the case that the you have Docker already installed, and the Ship installation fails to complete due to lack of space in the respective DOCKER folder, you update the folder destination as described in the steps below,

  1. At your instance, access the terminal, and run this command
    $mv /var/lib/docker /var/lib/docker.OLD

  2. in the script 'harbor_install.sh', you can add the line,
    export DOCKER_MOUNTED_PATH=/yournewpath/docker
    save your changes,

  3. Next, run the script from the terminal as desired.
    $ bash harbor_install.sh
