How to Manually Add Ship IP Adresses to Harbor

Sometimes, your ships will not have their IP addresses automatically listed in the Harbor view. To add them manually, you will need to follow these steps for each ship affected:

  1. Enter the machine containing the affected ship.
  2. Open a Terminal window and type the following command: cat /etc/blazemeter/config.json

    It will look like below:
    {
    "SHIP_ID": "<Ship_ID>",
    "A_ENVIRONMENT": "http://a.blazemeter.com",
    "AUTH_TOKEN": <Your_AUTH_TOKEN>,
    "AGENT_FILES_URL": "https://s3.amazonaws.com/blazemeter/install/ship-agent/stable",
    "HARBOR_ID": "<Harbor_ID>"
    }
  3. Copy the "SHIP_ID", as you will need this to find the correct Ship (if you have multiple ships) in the Harbor.
  4. Get the IP for the machine.
  5. Go to the Harbor containing the affect Ship.
  6. Search for the Ship using the "SHIP_ID" (this value is contained in the "Id" column).

  7. Click the Edit link for the affected ship. You will see the following window:
    CA_SUPPORT___Private_Location__1_.png
  8. In the "Address" field, enter the IP of the machine you obtained in Step 4 and click the "Update agent" button when finished.
  9. You will now see the IP address listed under the "Address" column for that ship.
